Amorim: ‘The Europa League champion is not worthy of MU stature’

Amorim shared with CBS Sports: “If you win the Europa League with Man United, I’m sorry, that’s not a big thing. You need to look forward to the Premier League and the Champions League – and we are very far away. It is my feelings. Of course it will be a European title, a European title, but that’s not enough.”

Amorim’s feeling is not uncommon in Manchester when Harry Maguire, who scored the decisive goal to help the team overcome Lyon in the quarterfinals, admitted that a trophy would not be able to compensate for the bad season they had experienced, when they saw them losing 18 times in the English Premier League.
