Kelvin Cao was born on August 21, 2006 with the full name Kelvin Cao Phong. He was born and raised in Germany in a Vietnamese family. Possessing a height of 1m76 and a solid technical platform, he started his football career at the U17 Werder Bremen from 2020 to 2023 before moving to U19 Union Berlin in the summer of 2023.
Here, he played in many positions in the attack, from the left striker, the striker to the right striker, even can take on the role of midfielder when necessary. Kelvin was once registered in the Union Berlin squad for UEFA Youth League season 2023/24
Despite being born and maturing in Germany, Kelvin Cao always keeps his love and pride in his homeland. In an interview with Vietnam Football Scout, he shared closely watching the journey of the Vietnamese team at the Asian Cup 2023 and expressed his desire to play for the national team in the future, especially participating in the World Cup qualifier.
It should be added, Kelvin Cao’s parents are Vietnamese. They went to Germany to work for many years and gave birth to Kevin in this country.
